a blue spark

lights the ribbon

tied to today

glowing like the berries

residents are nibbling

as long as the cold has spared them

entranced I follow the early concert

of caw-caw screech-vroom swish-blah

into the metal beast

the circling platform is turning

my thoughts from the burning

into sudden gloom

tracing the lifelines

of Keith, or the gorgeous

I need some more blue sparks

to set free

no more ribbons for me

as they’ve been binding my fears

I released all those years

In a world made of concrete

the abstract is hiding

in between

the cracks

I pour

some coffee

for the living

some champagne

for the dead
