#258 (depth perception)

a lark picked my right eye

while I left it out to dry

now all I see is shallow space

a blinking dot within a maze

‘though absence makes

the heart go yonder

this theft has left me

here to wonder

if one eye

might suffice for me

’cause after all

I would still see

note: this is a poem.
it is not about actually losing an eye.
i wondered how my reality would look like
if I could only perceive it in 2D.
this poem somehow was a byproduct
of that thought process.
