# 279 (vow)

I don’t need a ring

to put on your hand

I don’t need a fancy tux

I don’t need a bouquet

of pretty flowers, soon rotten

I don’t need a church full of people

I don’t need loads of food and wine

I need your heartbeat next to mine

the sound of your sleep close by

the feathers of your gaze on my skin

my vow is the sound my eyes make

when they tear up

at your beauty
