#390 (A mouth full of cupcake)

A mouth full

of cupcakes, laughter

spilling out crumbs,

you didn’t care, ’cause

those shoes kept

jumping away and

you had to chase them.

How afraid you’ve been

to pick up a dead bee,

but didn’t mind grasping

a wasp, ready for

take-off, her sting

a sharp reminder

of your vulnerability.

I keep remembering

human potential, every

time you learn something

new, the simplest things,

turning time into treasure.
