#465 (forgotten)

Heartbeat racing

steroids and caffeine

a non-judgmental drought

killing the tiny and the tall

one heatstroke at a time

desperately seeking shadow

because Susan had lost her hat

parched in the desert.

Wither with me, my sisters,

the clouds have forgotten

our names, so we need to

sear them into the skies

burning bright, until

our flames fuel a

furious tempest.
